Cousin’s Wedding Poem
Here is a poem that I wrote for my cousin’s wedding, per the request by their parents.
Regina and Calvin
There in her school chair
And while playing Red Rover
Those snappy eyes and brown hair
His heart melted over
It started with the glance
And then a quick smile
And with the hope of a chance
He walked the last mile
With the courage of a mouse
And the love of a song
He went to her house
And took her along
And there at the Ruby Tuesday
From across the table
Began a love to stay
And so started this fable
Now here we are today
With family and friend
From near and far away
To celebrate, this day
Now may God bless and keep
You through the days ahead
And through paths dark and steep
Remember the words He said:
“And if one prevail against him,
two shall withstand him;
and a threefold cord
is not quickly broken.”
(Ec. 4:12, KJV)
