Obamanomics: The Energy Independence Plan

Published by under Politics

I was listening to Obama’s acceptance speech last night, and as normal I was infuriated by all his generalities, slogans and attacks with no specific facts backing any of them, but one of his statements especially intrigued me. Obama said that if he was elected that he would have us energy independent in 10 years. Wow, that is amazing, Lord Obama, I pray, tell us how you will do it. Now we know he doesn’t mean oil because he has already made it very clear that he doesn’t support real domestic oil production. Well he must mean wind, solar, hydrogen, ethanol, DEFINITELY NOT Nuclear, and undiscovered forms of alternative energy then. Ok, well let’s examine this, Obama has repeatedly said that real domestic oil drilling (I keep calling it “real” because Democrats say they support domestic oil production, however in areas where there is none) is useless because it wouldn’t affect anything for about 8 to 10 years. (BTW this argument infuriates me because this is the exact argument they were using 8 years ago) Ok, so if drilling for oil, which we already have the infrastructure for (gas stations, gas cars, oil tankers, oil companies, drilling techniques and equipment) is going to take 8 to 10 years to show any results, and because it will take 8 to 10 years to show any results, is deemed useless. How long is it going to take to implement the yet undiscovered alternative form of energy of which we have no infrastructure? Well according to Lord Obama, 10 years. All I can say is, Lord Obama, your miraculous skills are going to come in real handy here.

Chinese Gymnast is Underage

Published by under News

Now first of all, was there any doubt before this evidence came out that this Chinese Gymnast was not 16. I mean come on, if He Kexin is 16 then I’m 57.
Chinese Gymnast, He Kexin
Stryde Hax, a security expert for the Intrepidus Group, using some of the techniques of Johnny iHackStuff (His techniques have been of great use to me in the past) found some cached information on the Internet, that China had somehow forgot to purge, that indicated that He Kexin was only 14 instead of 16. As he delved into the cached information and published his findings on his blog the information started to disappear under his nose. I find this to be the most disturbing fact about this incident. Yes, by cheating China stole a Gold Medal from the US’s Nastia Liukin on the uneven bars and thats bad, but the fact that China has the ability to purge cached information from the Google and Baidu’s search indexes is extremely disturbing. This is just another example of how important freedom of speech and the press is, and how a closed communist society tries to control their populace. China makes Joseph Goebbels look like a 6th grade school girl.

Free Pizza (Social Engineering)

Published by under Computers

Here is a video that I used to show my students, to demonstrate how social engineering was accomplished. This video has Kevin Rose the former host of the TechTV show. Now some of the actions on this video are illegal and should not be attempted on your own, :) however this does not give a detailed view anyway on how to compromise a computer network. It is funny and interesting to watch though.

The Lord Barack, Our Saviour

Published by under Politics

Lord Obama, please save us, bring us change and hope, and hope for a change. Bring us a future with hope, for we know you will not leave us unchanged. A future of hope and change, oh Lord Barack we bow before you. Now if you ever wondered what satire was, that’s it. The video below also is.

UN “Useless Nannies”

Published by under News,Politics

The United Nations, a good idea at its inception, is the biggest joke that exists in the world today. This latest crisis between Russia and Georgia, is a perfect example of their complete ineffectiveness. In response to the Useless Nannies meeting to come up with a cease fire agreement for the conflict, Georgia stated: “We understand that when one of the permanent members is an aggressor in this conflict, it is very hard to get things done and find a fair assessment of the situation.”  (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121875094135642307.html) Exactly, its pretty tough to be an effective organization when the aggressor has veto power on the Security Council. Ok, so now the Useless Nannies get Russia to agree and sign the Cease Fire agreement, but Russia hasn’t ceased fire nor have they left the captured territory, (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/08/16/AR2008081601039.html) so what are the Useless Nannies going to do now. Threaten to implement sanctions? (They would never do that, they just threaten it.) Ohhh, won’t that strike fear in the heart of the Ruskies as they shake in their boots. Oh, and guess what? The Useless Nannies are also reprimanding Georgia for “provoking” Russia by taking a police action in their own sovereign territory. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/6049872.stm) When the Useless Nannies can’t resolve a conflict by stopping the bully, they have to blame it on someone, so now it is the bully’s target’s fault for provoking the bully. I personally saw the Useless Nannies ineffectiveness in Haiti, where people would be robbed and held at gun point literally right in front of UN troops, but since they were not “authorized” to use force they stood by and “observed”. Crime rates exploded in Haiti durning the time of the Useless Nannies occupation. Iraq laughed and poked fun at all the weapons inspectors and resolutions that the Useless Nannies came up with, and all the Useless Nannies could do was say “Stop”. (Say with a high pitched, gay sounding voice) They finally stopped laughing when another organization of 50 states stepped in and took care of the problem. Who was it that enforced the Useless Nannies resolution that demanded Iraq get out of Kuwait in 1990, once again the US had to provide the teeth to the threat given by the Useless Nannies. We could go on and on, the Useless Nannies failure in Somalia, Rwanda, etc., etc., but we don’t have to, everyone knows, whether they admit it or not, that if something needs to be done in the world the US has to step in and do it. Really when it comes down to it, the primary function of the Useless Nannies is simply to transfer wealth from the United States to the rest of the world. According to the Useless Nannies financial records the United States pays for 22% of the Regular Budget, that is higher than any other nation. That doesn’t include all the other UN budgets that the US also pays the highest percentages. In 2007 the United States “owed” $1.26 billion to the Useless Nannies. What the US pays to the Useless Nannies budget is not part of the roughly 21 billion given by the US government in Foreign Aid annually. Despite the US being the primary funder and enforcer for the Useless Nannies, they are often apposed in resolutions and impugned for not paying enough. Below are some statistics of percentages of times different nations appose the US in the UN, and the amount of Foreign Aid some of them received from the US.

  • Kuwait votes against the United States 67% of the time.
  • Qatar votes against the United States 67% of the time.
  • Morocco votes against the United States 70% of the time.
  • United Arab Emirates votes against the United States 70% of the time.
  • Jordan votes against the United States 71% of the time.
  • Tunisia votes against the United States 71% of the time.
  • Saudi Arabia votes against the United States 73% of the time.
  • Yemen votes against the United States 74% of the time.
  • Algeria votes against the United States 74% of the time.
  • Oman votes against the United States 74% of the time.
  • Sudan votes against the United States 75% of the time.
  • Pakistan votes against the United States 75% of the time.
  • Libya votes against the United States 76% of the time.
  • Egypt votes against the United States 79% of the time.
  • Lebanon votes against the United States 80% of the time.
  • India votes against the United States 81% of the time.
  • Syria votes against the United States 84% of the time.
  • Mauritania votes against the United States 87% of the time.
  •

  • Egypt votes 79% of the time against the United States and receives $2 billion annually in US Foreign Aid.
  • Jordan votes 71% of the time against the United States and receives $192,814,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.
  • Pakistan votes 75% of the time against the United States and receives $6,721,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.
  • India votes 81% of the time against the United States and receives $143,699,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.
  •

My only remaining question is, “why are we still a part of this ridiculous organization”? Let’s drop out and kick the Useless Nannies out of New York. Then as a bonus, maybe we can get rid of all these foreign dignitaries with Diplomatic Immunity.

The Little Red Hen (slightly revised)

    Published by under Politics

A co-worker emailed this to me and there was no credit given, so if anyone knows where this originates from place it in the comments below and I will properly credit it.

Once upon a time, on a farm in Virginia , there was a little red hen who scratched about the barnyard until she uncovered quite a few grains of wheat.

She called all of her Democrat neighbors together and said, ‘If we plant this wheat, we shall have bread to eat. Who will help me plant it?’

    ‘Not I,’ said the cow.

    ‘Not I,’ said the duck.

    ‘Not I,’ said the pig.

    ‘Not I,’ said the goose.

‘Then I will do it by myself,’ said the little red hen, and so she did. The wheat grew very tall and ripened into golden grain.

‘Who will help me reap my wheat?’ asked the little red hen.

    ‘Not I,’ said the duck.

‘Out of my classification,’ said the pig.

I ‘d lose my seniority,’ said the cow.

‘I’d lose my unemployment compensation,’ said the goose.

‘Then I will do it by myself,’ said the little red hen, and so she did.

At last it came time to bake the bread.

‘Who will help me bake the bread?’ asked the little red hen.

‘That would be overtime for me,’ said the cow.

‘I’d lose my welfare benefits,’ said the duck.

‘I’m a dropout and never learned how,’ said the pig.

‘If I’m to be the only helper, that’s discrimination,’ said the goose.

‘Then I will do it by myself,’ said the little red hen. She baked five loaves and held them up for all of her neighbors to see. They wanted some and, in fact, demanded a share. But the little red hen said, ‘No, I shall eat all five loaves.’

‘Excess profits!’ cried the cow. (Nancy Pelosi)

‘Capitalist leech!’ screamed the duck. (Barbara Boxer)

‘I demand equal rights!’ yelled the goose. (Jesse Jackson) the pig just grunted in disdain. (Ted Kennedy)

And they all painted ‘Unfair!’ picket signs and marched around and around the little red hen, shouting obscenities.

Then the Farmer Obama came. He said to the little red hen, ‘You must not be so greedy.’   ‘But I earned the bread,’ said the little red hen.

‘Exactly,’ said Barack the farmer.  That is what makes our free enterprise system so wonderful.  Anyone in the barnyard can earn as much as he wants.  But under our modern government  regulations, the productive workers must divide the fruits of their labor with those who are lazy and idle.’

And they all lived happily ever after, including the little red hen, who smiled and clucked, ‘I am grateful, for now I truly understand.’

But her neighbors became quite disappointed in her.  She never again baked bread because she joined the ‘party’ and got her bread free. And all the Democrats smiled. ‘Fairness’ had been established. They made fence around the barnyard stronger.

Individual initiative had died, but nobody noticed; perhaps no one cared…so long as there was free bread that ‘the rich’ were paying for.

    EPILOGUE

Bill Clinton is getting $12 million for his memoirs.

Hillary got $8 million for hers.

That’s 20 million for the memories from two people, who for eight years, repeatedly testified, under oath, that they couldn’t remember anything.  IS THIS A GREAT BARNYARD OR WHAT? And Obama is coming?
