Will Freedom of Speech Be Muzzled By Our New Diversity Czar?

Published by under Politics

Fairness DoctrineOn July 29th, Mark Lloyd was selected as Chief Diversity Officer at the Federal Communications Comission.  Mr. Lloyd is in the position of regulating the airwaves to fit Obama’s “marxist agenda.”  How far to the left is this man?  For one, he admires Hugo Chavez.  The self-proclaimed socialist Chavez in recent months has shutdown dozens of radio stations in order to clean house with his sweeping government agenda.  Government run television and one-sided debate is becoming the norm in Venezuela.  This government behavior comes right out of the communist handbook.  Fidel Castro has been successful at it for decades.  What can we expect from a man who praises Venezuela’s “incredible revolution” with open arms?

What do you think the FCC Diversity Chief would do to silence Republicans?  The Fairness Doctrine.  Silencing talk radio will be on Mr. Lloyd’s list.  Giving both sides equal time to express opposing points of views will mask his real agenda.   Conservative talk radio is flourishing.  Liberal talk radio, on the other hand, fails to cover relevent mainstream issues.  Equalling this playing field with the Fairness Doctrine will solve this problem.  By adding regulation, lawyers will choke talk radio.  The top PAC contributor to the Democratic federal candidates last election, was the 56,000 member, Association of Trial Lawyers of America. They  spent 2.6 million dollars, 86% of that number went to the Democratic party.  This combination is lethal to our first amendment rights.  Will Mark Lloyd censor Republicans using “diversity politics”?  Or will he just let us all speak our minds?
