In a recent AP-KN poll 47% of Democrats say Obama should be challenged in the 2012 Democratic Primary. This shows how disenchanted Democrats themselves are becoming with the anointed one. This is also why I believe that this November 2nd the Republicans and Tea Party are going to win bigger than the polls currently reflect. The reason for this is because the Conservative base is jazzed up against Obama and his ilk and the Liberal base is not jazzed up for them. In Bush’s 2nd term win in 2004 the Kerry/Edwards ticket thought they were going to win big with the youth vote. They thought the youth of America were all psyched up to vote for them. Instead the youth of America stayed home and played Play Station 2. Well this time is no different. What has Obama done for the minorities, the poor, women, and all the downtrodden lately? Well they haven’t seen the free cars, homes, and cell phones yet, have they? Where are the bags of money Obama had promised them? Didn’t Obama say that when he was elected the seas would stop rising, Global Warming would stop, the recession would halt, a new era of post-racism and bi-partisanship would began. Well the seas weren’t rising and Global Warming wasn’t happening in the first place, but I’m not sure I’m gonna give Obama credit for stopping something that never was happening. The recession hasn’t been halted, unemployment keeps rising. Obama Care was passed with no Republican votes and Stimulus was passed with no Republican House votes. Doesn’t sound like a new era of bi-partisanship to me. The point however is that the left is not exited about this Administration or their policies. No one is excited about Obama Care. No one is even running on the merits of Obama Care. Many Democrats are actually running on the platform that they appose Obama and Pelosi. Current polls are not going to reflect that the Left isn’t even going to show up to vote while the Right is climbing over each other to cast their vote. While Play Station 2 is not going to be the primary interest of the left on Election Day, Xbox 360 will be.
