Lame Duck Revenge?

Will this lame duck congress go crazy and punish the American people for their voting on November 2nd? I believe if it was simply up to Obama, Pelosi and Reid they would slam as many things through as possible before the new Congress is sworn in. Unfortunately for the Regime and fortunately for the American people the Democrats left in Washington especially those that were reelected by a slim margin realize that their necks just barely missed the dropping blade of the guillotine. These Democrats do want to be reelected in the next election cycle and most of them are not the ideologues that Obama, Pelosi and Reid are. However if they do succeed in moving some ultra left-wing legislation through during the lame duck session it only goes to prove to the American people what and who they really are. It just gives the Tea Party and the Conservative Republicans more to overturn once they are completely back in power. The Regime is bumping up against the will of a center-right America that they did not expect or understand. I still contend that the only reason that Obama himself was ever elected is because he is black and the American people wanted to show that they were not racist and could elect a black man to the Presidency. If Obama was a white politician, with his past associations and record, he would not have stood a chance in 2008.

Do the Democrats get it?

Published by under Politics

Do the Democrats get what happened on November 2nd? The answer is a resounding, “No!” This is great though, we don’t want them to change anything. We want them to continue down the path that got them to November 2nd, 2010 because that same path will lead them to a repeat on November 2nd, 2012. Even though the disconnect from reality is incredulous, it is good for Conservatives. It appears that the Democrats will keep the entire leadership team intact. Pelosi will stay on as minority leader of the Democrats in the House and Harry Reid will stay on as the majority leader in the Senate. Obama himself said that it wasn’t his policies that were rejected but that he had just failed to “explain” the policies to the American people. This is another way of saying that the American people are just too stupid to understand the high-minded Obama policies and the Regime just failed to color code them and convert the definitions to baby talk well enough so that the simple-minded American people could understand them. The insult to our intelligence is enormous but just take it because that can only result in it bitting them in the backside again. All the lame-stream media is predicting that Obama will move to the center, Obama is a ideologue and his moving to the center is about as possible as a Biden not saying something stupid. Biden is an idiot, idiots say stupid things;Obama is a left-wing ideologue, and left-wing ideologues to left-wingy things. Clinton moved more to the center after ’94 but that was because he was an unprincipled finger licking wind checker. Obama isn’t unprincipled, I will give him that, it is just that his principles are so enormously dangerous that his policies need to be overturned and rejected. Obama and the Democrats will stay far left over the next two years and they will pay for it in the next election cycle.

47% of Democrats say that Obama should be challenged in 2012 Democratic Primary

Published by under News,Politics

In a recent AP-KN poll 47% of Democrats say Obama should be challenged in the 2012 Democratic Primary. This shows how disenchanted Democrats themselves are becoming with the anointed one. This is also why I believe that this November 2nd the Republicans and Tea Party are going to win bigger than the polls currently reflect. The reason for this is because the Conservative base is jazzed up against Obama and his ilk and the Liberal base is not jazzed up for them. In Bush’s 2nd term win in 2004 the Kerry/Edwards ticket thought they were going to win big with the youth vote. They thought the youth of America were all psyched up to vote for them. Instead the youth of America stayed home and played Play Station 2. Well this time is no different. What has Obama done for the minorities, the poor, women, and all the downtrodden lately? Well they haven’t seen the free cars, homes, and cell phones yet, have they? Where are the bags of money Obama had promised them? Didn’t Obama say that when he was elected the seas would stop rising, Global Warming would stop, the recession would halt, a new era of post-racism and bi-partisanship would began. Well the seas weren’t rising and Global Warming wasn’t happening in the first place, but I’m not sure I’m gonna give Obama credit for stopping something that never was happening. The recession hasn’t been halted, unemployment keeps rising. Obama Care was passed with no Republican votes and Stimulus was passed with no Republican House votes. Doesn’t sound like a new era of bi-partisanship to me. The point however is that the left is not exited about this Administration or their policies. No one is excited about Obama Care. No one is even running on the merits of Obama Care. Many Democrats are actually running on the platform that they appose Obama and Pelosi. Current polls are not going to reflect that the Left isn’t even going to show up to vote while the Right is climbing over each other to cast their vote. While Play Station 2 is not going to be the primary interest of the left on Election Day, Xbox 360 will be.

I’m behind Pelosi

In a rare moment of sanity, Nancy Peloci shutdown the House resolution honoring Michael Jackson because debate on the symbolic measure could raise “contrary views” about the pop star’s life. Nancy however reverted back to her old self almost immediately when she said that she had not been briefed on any briefings regarding Michael Jackson’s torture by the CIA.

Congress’s Travel Tab Swells

Published by under Politics

Story Link: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124650399438184235.html

According to this story from the Wall Street Journal, Congress’s travel tab since the Democrat’s take over in 2006 has swelled 50%. At least we know now that their unsanctimonious cries about the auto executives flying corporate jets and taking exotic vacations wasn’t hypocritical.

In February, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi led a delegation of Democratic lawmakers to visit U.S. troops in Afghanistan for a day. Before landing in Kabul, the eight lawmakers and their entourage of spouses and aides spent eight days in Italy, spending $57,697 on hotels and meals.

I am more than a little peeved that the vacation that I have always wanted to take myself to Italy was taken by Nancy Pelosi with my money.
